This chapter of the book covers finding items and professional services in Oslo.
With a population of around half a million, Oslo probably doesn't have the same range of shopping and services as a larger city, but most things can be found.

Food and daily goods.
Oslo seems to have a large number of small shops, rather than a smaller number of Supermarkets or shopping centers. The reason for this is apparently to make sure everyone is in easy walking distance to the basic food supplies, something that is appreciated in the winter months.
Clothing and accessories.
There are only two shopping centers inside oslo, and they do not offer parking. As you get out of the city center, there are some bigger centers.
